The Chateau Market Town of LE LUDE
he town of Le Lude is a typically French market town lying in the elegant winelands of the Loire. It is especially renowned for its fabulous castle, the Château du Lude. The Château du Lude is a superb example of the fairy-tale castles of the Loire and is really worth a viewing. Le Lude benefits from a good climate, with moderate temperatures and plenty of sunshine in the summertime. It is a lively town with a good collection of amenities. There are all the shops you could hope to find, including wonderfully French boulangeries. Then there are supermarkets and all the usual service industries too. Every Thursday sees the arrival of a traditional outdoor market, and on certain summer evenings the town also puts on atmospheric night markets. Situated close to the famed Le Mans motor racing circuit, and also to the city of Angers, this of course is the famous Loire valley wine domains and vineyards, and only 40 minutes from Tours airport, just perfect to come and see and to taste the wines!

The Bustling Market Town of LA FLECHE
Situated half way between Angers and Le Mans in the Sarthe department, La Flèche is a colourful and buzzing little town that nestles on the banks of the River Loir in the Vallée du Loir. The pretty town is wonderful with its labyrinth of cobble stone streets. There is a buzzing little market on Wednesday and Sunday mornings with rows of tasty fresh produce. In the town there is all manner of commerce, and a host of beautiful boulangeries. La Flèche offers water sports on the Loir from sailing and fishing to canoeing and swimming as well as at the nearby lakes of La Monnerie which has a long sandy beach, and in summer months offers shade under trees that line the water. It’s a great base for cycling and hiking, and walks in the woods. There is a beautiful zoo of 14 hectares in the middle of the woods on the edge of the town which is a bit different from most zoos in that it offers the chance to stay on site overnight in a lodge in amongst the animals. looking fresh produce.
